What ORBIT NOVEL is

ORBIT NOVEL is a free online library and publishing platform organized into genre sectors — Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery & Thriller, Classics, and Nonfiction. Readers can browse the archive, open any book's detail page to see its blurb, rating, and full chapter list, and jump straight into reading.

Every book on ORBIT NOVEL is either part of the growing seed archive or was published directly by a member of the community. There's no gatekeeping between "reader" and "writer" — anyone signed in can do both.

For readers

Save titles to your own list, rate the books you finish, leave comments, and follow the writers whose work you want to keep up with — new chapters from writers you follow show up in your notifications.

For writers

Publishing is built into the same interface you read from. Pick a genre and your title takes its place on that sector's shelf, write as many chapters as you like, and readers can jump straight to any of them from your book's page. Already have the whole story written out? Paste it in and ORBIT NOVEL will split it into chapters for you.
