For readers

Browse the archive

Books are organized into genre sectors on the homepage — Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery & Thriller, Classics, Nonfiction, and more as writers add new ones. Use the search bar in the header to find a title or author directly, or scroll through a sector's shelf.

Read a book

Open any cover to see its detail page — blurb, rating, tags, and its full chapter list. Chapters open straight into the reader, and your place is kept so you can pick a book back up later.

Build your list

Tap + My List on a book's detail page to save it for later — everything you've saved shows up under My List in the header.

Rate, comment, and follow

Leave a rating and a comment on any book's detail page. If you want to keep up with a specific writer, follow them from their profile — new chapters they publish will show up in your notifications.

For writers

Publish a book

Sign in, then select Write a Book in the header. Pick a genre (or add a new one) and it takes its place on that sector's shelf alongside everyone else's.

Chapters

Write as many chapters as you like — readers will be able to jump straight to any of them from your book's page. Already have the whole story written out? Paste it in and ORBIT NOVEL will split it into chapters for you automatically.

Manage what you've published

From My Stories in the header, see how your books are doing. From a book's own detail page, you can edit its details or delete it entirely — you're always in control of what you've published.

Grow a following

Readers can follow you directly from your profile page. Every chapter you publish notifies the people who follow you.
